The product
What is propautopilot?
A research platform for Australian property investors. We cover every suburb with evidence-linked metrics, estimate fair value at the property level, and pair the data with Compass — a team of specialist agents you can chat with about strategy, valuation, and risk.
Who is it for?
Two main groups. Individual investors doing their own due-diligence before talking to a buyer's agent or broker. And professional buyer's agents running multiple clients who want a shared research workspace and co-branded reports.
How is this different from the listings portals?
Those show you what's for sale. We're the analysis layer on top. Every suburb we cover has maintained fields, freshness labels, and a clear verdict when the inputs are strong enough. Listings are useful; listings without analysis are just a search box.
Do I still need a buyer's agent?
Often yes, often no. If you're time-poor and buying interstate, a buyer's agent earns their fee. If you have time to run the research and inspect properties yourself, propautopilot replaces most of the due-diligence phase. Either way, you arrive with a thesis — which is worth the research even if you do hire someone.
Does propautopilot give me financial advice?
No. We're a research tool, not a licensed financial advisor. We show you numbers, explain where they came from, and let you reason about them. Decisions about suitability, risk, and tax structure belong with you and the licensed professionals you engage.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. Every suburb report is public — no account required. The 4-question brief and Compass chat need a free Curious account so we can remember your context between sessions.
Pricing
Is there a free plan?
Yes — the Curious plan is free forever and covers every public suburb report, the 4-question brief, and five Compass replies per day. Upgrade only when you need the deeper features.
What does each paid plan unlock?
Explorer adds unlimited chat, alerts, and side-by-side suburb comparison. Investor adds recommendation history, property-level deal analysis, and printable briefs. Advanced adds 10-year cashflow + IRR modelling, the advanced newsletter, and portfolio tracking. Pro is for buyer's agents running multi-client workspaces with co-branded reports.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Open the billing portal from /settings/billing and cancel at any point — you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Do you offer annual pricing?
Yes — every paid plan pays 10 months for 12 when billed annually (2 months free, roughly 17% off). Toggle the interval on the pricing grid to compare.
Data + trust
Can I trust your numbers?
Every number carries its source category — government registry, Revenue Office, licensed market data, or an industry benchmark — plus a freshness stamp so you know how old it is. If a figure isn't available we tell you why, rather than guessing.
How current is the data?
It depends on the source. Census figures update every five years. State sales data lands weekly. Rental indices arrive monthly. Every metric card shows its own freshness stamp so you can see the lag before you act on a number.
How do you decide which suburbs to cover?
All of them. More than 15,000 Australian suburb areas have a report. Coverage depth varies with sample size, so thinly traded suburbs show fewer sale-derived fields, but no suburb is excluded.
Who are the Compass specialists?
Seven specialists handle different parts of the buying decision: Coach (mindset), Advocate (portfolio design), Scout (suburb shortlist), Hunter (property pick), Valuer (fair-value estimation), Negotiator (offer strategy), and Steward (structure + tax). They share memory so handoffs don't reset context.
What is recommendation history?
Every time we commit to a numeric claim — median growth, rent yield, median price — we log it with a scheduled score date. Once the horizon elapses we grade the call against the outturn and keep the verdict visible. We're graded on our own dates, publicly.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your goals and saved suburbs stay on your account. We don't sell your profile to agents, brokers, or ad networks, and we don't run third-party behavioural tracking. Full details on the privacy page.
Is my chat history used to train anything?
Only to personalise your own research. We don't share or sell chat transcripts, and we don't use them as training data for general-purpose models.
Account + workflow
Can I export my data?
Yes. Go to /settings/data and request an export. You'll get a verification email; clicking it delivers a single JSON bundle of your profile, goals, saved suburbs, chat history, and alerts.
How does account deletion work?
Start a deletion from /settings/data. There's a 7-day grace window during which you can cancel and nothing is lost. After 7 days the account and its data are permanently removed.
What happens after I do the research?
You walk into your mortgage broker or buyer's agent (or straight to the seller) with a clear brief — price band, strategy, short list of suburbs, stamp duty, cashflow. Instead of 'I want to buy a house', you arrive with a thesis.
