What we collect
Your onboarding answers (buyer type, states, age band, income target, horizon, strategy, borrowing capacity, deposit), goals you save, properties you watchlist, and your chats with Compass. We also keep a small set of facts Compass has learned about you from those chats so future sessions feel continuous. We do not collect bank records, credit-bureau data, or tax file numbers.
Why we collect it
So Compass can personalise the research for your stage and budget, alert you when a goal threshold fires, and improve over time. We collect analytics by default to improve the product. You can opt out at /settings/privacy at any time. We never sell your data. We never use it for targeted advertising.
Privacy law
We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our analytics collection is disclosed here and in the cookie policy, and the opt-out control is available from Settings at any time.
How we protect it
Encrypted at rest, encrypted in transit, scoped so no account can read another’s data. Only the operating team has production access, and every privileged action is logged. If we ever have a serious incident that affects your data, we’ll tell you.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. When you ask us to delete, we purge within 30 days. During that grace window you can still export everything we hold about you.
Your controls
Export your data, correct any Compass memory fact, delete your account, turn specific features off, unsubscribe from every category of email. All from Settings. You never have to ask permission to use any of these.
Shared with
Only the operating team, service providers who are under contract to help us run the service (and cannot use the data for their own purposes), and — if ever required — law-enforcement bodies with a valid order. Nobody else.
Complaint
If you think we’ve handled your data badly, email us first at privacy@propautopilot.ai. If we haven’t resolved it within 30 days, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
